Labor Day Antics

The kids ran around while I blew leaves about the yard this morning. Tease stole a bottle and the fun began! Tease thinks bottles are cool.

Flicker races to catch 10 year old Bogart who also loves water bottles!
Bogart really loves Flicker!

Flicker, peeking from the aframe, is always in "control" of the game though she NEVER touches the bottle.

Great catch Tease!

A swirling mass of dogs is hard to catch in the I-phone camera

Whew, Tease finally has it.

Happy tired dogs - Flicker

Bogart

Torch

And Tease, AKA Finster

It's good to be a dog!

A weekend at home...

We spent the weekend at home. Saturday we worked in the yard and had marrow bones. It was 40 degrees and the girls helped me rake - well sort of.

Sunday, we're training indoors (group sits and waves) while up to 8" of snow is expected to fall! I really hate the month of March:) By the way, I'm still taking photos with my I-Phone. I MUST get a camera soon.

Hanging in the yard...

We spent the weekend hanging out and playing in the yard.

Flicker is always ready to pose - and counts as one blue merle...
Frenzy, Flicker's mom, is a lovely red merle - she makes two...

Torch, ever the ham, makes three....

Then there's Tease - aka Finster. Always smiling, the black molted makes four...

Four lovely BC's hanging in the yard.

But wait. There's one more right?

Yes, Bogart, the lovely big mouthed, black BC is always near by. He makes five today...

Five happy BCs posing for a photo. Notice Tease is still smiling:)

Bogart's 10th Birthday!

I always do something for Bogart's birthday, which is on Valentine's Day. He turned 10 this year. Bogart, dumped at the shelter at about 6 weeks old, was rescued by my friend Kathryn and given to me at 10 months old. I normally hold agility run throughs for him but this year we went away for a relaxing weekend. One stop was High Point State Park in NJ. I had my I-Phone and here's what we got.

The view was beautiful and I can't wait to go back in the summer and fall.

The boys pose at the top...

Then the birthday boy's had enough already...

Here are the Gurlz....

Now for the family. OK so this was complicated in the cold, wind and my lack of patience! Um-mm, the camera is the OTHER way guys.

All facing the right way, now strangle hold two...

Laugh a lot...

And the darn wind. Hold Flicker because she's almost air borne...

Vacationing with 4 "kids" is sooo much fun. I would like to try again on a WARM and wind free day and a new camera!

November Day at the Beach

This morning we were up early - I mean who really cares about that whole fall back thing?

So, I took all the kids to the beach for a romp in the sand...
Tease really gives Torch a run for his money...

Then we loose the new $20 fire hose Frisbee toy thingy in Long Island Sound! It's OK, I have tennis balls!!!

Bogart takes a short break...

Tease shows off her new "sit" with distractions...

Tease and Torch are always in the lead...

Flicker and Tease - "the girls" - take a brief breather...

On the walk back to the car we stop to dry off in the sun...

Sitting on the rock wall for individual shots...

"Where are my shades?"

"Hey Mom, did ya see those sea gulls right over there?"

"Hey, I have saltwater in my nose."

"OK, enough with the camera!"

6 BC's and a Jolly Ball

So it was time to break out the Jolly Ball - Torch's very favorite toy!

He's not giving it up even with all the girls after him:)

Torch and Flicker look so very innocent...

The chaos!

Bogart just plays on his own but remains on the look out for those grey things in the trees!

Parting group shot of Flicker, Tease, Torch and Frenzy.

Out for a walk...

With 6 kids our daily walk is in done in two shifts:)

Group one poses on the front steps - Bogart, Frenzy & Tease.

Frenzy, who was a hit with the kids in the neighborhood.

Next, not to be outdone, group two poses on the front lawn.

Dig-It! (in a sit), Flicker and Torch.

Stopping for another picture on the sidewalk.

Taking pictures with the I-Phone is lots of fun.
